Coordinator of Social Media and Donor Relations
Purpose and scope: To support the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Spirit (FHS), the Coordinator of Social Media and Donor Relations is primarily responsible for maintaining and growing a social media presence as well as building relationships with current and prospective donors.
Essential Job Functions
- Creates contents that is engaging, accurate and timely, including text, images, and videos for all FHS social media.
- Fosters a weekly social media presence that gives followers an accurate view of FHS.
- Optimize content for various social media platforms.
- Manages and moderates user-generated content.
- Creates and implements social media strategies.
- Grows social media presence and outreach to aid in reaching potential discerners with the community.
- Tracks performance metrics.
- Represents the FHS at public functions, social gatherings or business/church functions as directed by the Supervisor.
- Interfaces with FHS priests and their organizations to understand the activities and concerns of their ministries.
- Speaks to diocesan, parish, and community groups to promote the Mission of FHS and to build relationships with prospective donors.
- Builds relationships with current and prospective donors.
- Creates and presents on FHS fundraising, donor relations, etc.
- Engages in research and outreach to widen the FHS network.
- Acquires sponsorships, ticket purchases and other support for annual fundraising event, FriarQ as well as other fundraising events throughout the year.
- Acts as a liaison for donors and FHS.

- Performs any other job-related tasks deemed necessary and/or as assigned by the Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- An organized individual who possesses an attitude of continuous learning and optimism.
- Thorough and thoughtful written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision.
- Well-versed on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and other social media platforms.
- Ability to demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism and effectively communicate with donors, FHS and co-workers.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a good working relationship with all diocesan and parish staff.
- Thorough working knowledge of the Franciscan Friars of the Holy Spirit in order to communicate with current and prospective donors.
- Ability to foster relationships with prospective donors.
- Develop and create a social media strategy to keep current followers engaged while engaging new followers.
- Basic knowledge in Artificial Intelligence.
Minimum Qualifications
- BA required. MA a plus.
- Ability to interact personally and professionally with individuals.
- Ability to collaborate and work on a team.
- Self-confidence, moral integrity and credibility.
- Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends.
- Opportunity to work from home one day a week.
- Active practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church.
