A Life Centered on Christ
The Franciscan Friars of the Holy Spirit follow a strict rule of life centered around daily prayer.
This focus on daily prayer grounds our lives and ministry in that personal encounter with Our Lord that Pope Benedict XVI says “gives life a new horizon and a decisive direction.”
Our Daily Schedule
5:45am – Wake-Up Bell
5:55am – Call to Prayer Bell
6:00am – Matins & Lauds
7:00am – Holy Hour
8:00am – Mass
8:50am – Breakfast
12:00pm – Midday Prayer & Rosary
5:00pm – Vespers
5:15pm – Dinner
8:00pm – Compline & Grand Silence
In addition to our daily rule of prayer, we also fast on all Wednesdays and Fridays.
Once a month we keep an overnight early morning vigil before the Blessed Sacrament, have time away for hermit-like solitude, and offer praise and worship as a community to the Lord.
